Are You Not Feeling Well?

This lesson moves from food and hosting into a simple health check. A person can say they have a cold, answer whether they have a fever, explain which body part hurts, and talk about feeling healthier after rest.

Lesson goal

You will learn to describe simple illness symptoms, say which body parts hurt or do not hurt, talk about headphones and ears, and describe basic health and appearance changes.

Describe ears, fever/cold, health, body parts, hair, legs, thinness, and mouth/body condition.

  • Say that someone has a cold but does not have a fever.
  • Ask whether ears, feet, legs, a face, or a mouth hurt.
  • Talk about headphones when they affect ear comfort.
  • Describe someone as thinner or not very healthy and suggest rest.
